Petaling Jaya sprawls across the western Klang Valley, from the older sections (PJ Old Town, Section 14, Bangsar South border) through to the newer Damansara corridor and Kota Damansara. The number that matters is the written quote from the specific home, so treat these as context, not a promise.
The single biggest cause of “the bill was higher than quoted” is extras billed on top of the base fee: adult diapers, milk/NG feeds, wound dressings, physiotherapy sessions, doctor call-outs and transport. Most residential homes in Malaysia are Pusat Jagaan registered with the Welfare Department (JKM) under the Care Centres Act 1993 (Act 506). Homes offering clinical, doctor-led care may instead be licensed by the Ministry of Health under Act 586. Before you commit: ask to see the current registration certificate, confirm it names this exact address, and check the expiry date.
